For all that her father annoys her to no end, both of Maka's parents are some of the best people at what they do. This has led her to be a bit of a perfectionist in life. She is usually a cheerful enough girl, and although she can be easily annoyed, Maka rarely gets truly angry. She values Soul, her best friend, more than anything else in the world, although this is expressed purely by actions and never words. | |

At fourteen, Maka shows signs of becoming extremely pretty when she gets older, although never a true beauty. She's slim and athletic, capable of a decent amount of acrobatics and able to put up a good fight. Her hair is pale blonde and tied up in twin ponytails on either side of her head, and her eyes are a dull green. She's also very flatchested. |

the truth (feels like a dream).
Maka going to an academy named Shibusen, where she is a Meister with the goal of making her Weapon and best friend, Soul Eater Evans, into a Deathsycthe, a Weapon worthy of being used by Shinigami himself. Her parents are Kami and Spirit, Spirit being the greatest Deathscythe and therefore worthy of using it as a name instead of just a title. Kami and Deathscythe are currently divorced due to the fact that Deathscythe flirts strongly with just about every woman he meets.
Together, the students of Shibusen fight against pre-Kishin and actual Kishin, beings who eat human souls in order to grow stronger and conquer their fear. (The students are told again and again that fear is good because conquering it leads to true courage.) Lately, Maka and Soul have been having some problems related to a witch named Medusa, who is conducting experiments on Meister/Weapon pairs and has been trying to turn her own daughter into a Kishin. | |

Maka has grown up leading a relatively happy life, although something has always been... missing. She isn't sure what she's waiting for, but she sometimes feels as if she can only turn around the right corner, someone will be there, waiting for her... but that's ridiculous.
Her parents, Spirit and Kami, divorced a year ago. Kami left for somewhere whose name Maka can never quite remember, and Maka herself moved out of her father's condominuim. After a lot of tears and begging, he finally agreed to let her move into an apartment in Gravis. He used to visit constantly and annoy the crap out of her, but she hasn't seen him at all lately. She is too relieved by this to wonder where he could have disappeared to.
Maka attends Etalon High in the twelfth grade, due to being skipped ahead several grades when she was younger. Her grades are the best in her class and she hopes to gain a full scholarship to the University so that she doesn't have to rely on her father to pay her tuition.
Maka's hobbies are reading and rollerblading around the University campus. | |
